The Franklin High School Black Knight Band is active throughout the entire year. It includes the Black Knight Marching Band, Stage Band, Jazz Band, Concert Band, Pep Band, and District Ensembles. The Marching Band performs for football games, in local parades, and other community events. The conclusion of marching band is marked by Stadium Echoes: an indoor showcase of the band music held in the auditorium during open house. The Stage Band also provides accompaniment during Broadcast every year. The Concert Band holds two concerts every year, in the winter and the spring.  Pep Band performs at Girls and Boys Varsity Basketball home games. Students may audition for spots in District Band and Jazz Band ensembles. They travel to festivals held around the state. These students may be selected to move on to Regional and State festivals.

 

Mr. Steve Johnston conducts all of the bands, as well as the Middle School bands. Students interested in joining any of the bands should inquire in the Guidance Office.
